Anna Agatha (Tarasky) Eckenrod, 68, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in Select Specialty Hospital of Greensburg. She was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Grindstone, a daughter of the late Anthony and Emma (Huhula) Tarasky. Prior to retirement, she had been employed for 25 years by Kmart of Greensburg. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Seton #306. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Fred J. Eckenrod Jr.; and two brothers, Walter and Anthony Tarasky. She is survived by five daughters, Cheryl Siard and her husband, Gilbert, of Houston, Texas, Linda Cordeiro and Robert Evich, of Belle Vernon, Debra Wilson and her husband, Gene, of Houston, Texas, Joan Albright and Dave Passmore, of Greensburg, and Valerie Weiers and her husband, James D., of Greensburg; a son, Fred A. Eckenrod and his wife, Barbara, of Hershey; eight grandchildren, Stephen, Jennifer and Benjamin Siard, Thomas M. Combetti, Dustin and Amber Eckenrod, Ashley and Jessica Weiers; a sister, Marie Rycz, of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg, with the Rev. Daniel C. Mahoney as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
