May I. Hicks, 97, of Ellensburg, passed away on Friday, October 27, 1995 at Royal Vista Care Center. She was born in Seattle, Washington on October 18, 1898, a daughter of George and Ellen [Stokes] Radford.

She married James Arthur Hicks in Ellensburg on October 16, 1918. They celebrated 72 years of marriage before James parsed away on October 24, 1990. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Pythian Sisters and The Mother's Club. And she always said that her therapy in life was working her garden and flowers.

She is survived by her sons, Howard (Lucille) Hicks of Fall City, Washington, Ben (Gladys) Hicks of Las Vegas, Nevada and Donald (Cletes) Hicks of Issaquah, Washington; daughter, Lucille Sienia of Ellensburg, Washinton; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 1995 at Steward and Williams Chapel in Ellensburg. Concluding service and burial will follow at High Valley Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Steward and Williams Chapel on Tuesday, October 31, 1995 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Methodist Church, Hospice of Kittitas County or a charity of your choice.
