Ragan S. Hosfelt, 76, of 916 Oak Ave., a retired molder at the Clow Co. plant, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient four weeks.
Born Oct. 29, 1894, in Newcomerstown, he was a son of John and Frances Lawrence Hosfelt. He was married in 1918 to Bertha Blair, who survives.
Other survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Harold (Irene) Cooper, Fresno Route 2; Mrs. Jack M. (Betty) Hayes, Mrs. Berlin (Bonnie) Barrett, Mrs. Timothy (Frances) Crossley, and Mrs. Tom (Martha) Crown, all of Coshocton, and Mrs. Lee (Sue) Stonebrook, Newcomerstown; one son, James R., of Coshocton; a brother, Martin, of Coshocton; sisters, Mrs. Sophia Bietzel, Dover; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers, a sister, and a granddaughter are deceased.
Services will be Tuesday at Dawson Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
