Former County Man Dies Monday
Virgil Smith, a former resident of Johnson County, died at the age of 65, in the Margaret Mary Hospital at Batesville, Monday morning at 3:30 o'clock. Mr. Smith had suffered a series of heart attacks in the past year, and for the last five weeks had been confined to the Versailles hospital.
Rites Set Funeral services-will take place at the Versailles Baptist church at 10 o'clock 'Wednesday' morning . Burial will take place at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Glenn's Valley at 2:30 p.m. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home in Versailles.
Surviving Mr. Smith are three sons from this county and his wife and a daughter, who reside in Versailles.
