Mrs. Lucille Hubbard Horne, 85 of Hillsboro Street, Stedman, NC died on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Stedman Baptist Church with Dr. Philip Spears officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Horne was born on September 27, 1927 in Cumberland County to the late John Harvey and Bessie Sessoms Hubbard. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lambert Horne. She worked as a Bookkeeper with the Cumberland County Coordinating Council on Older Adults.
She is survived by: one daughter, Jane Horne of Durham; one son, Johnny Horne and wife Ann of Stedman; three brothers, Arthur Granger Hubbard of Fayetteville, Broadus Hubbard and Carlton Hubbard both of Stedman; two grandsons, Adam Horne and Stephen Horne; one great granddaughter, Allison Horne; and her special caregiver and friend, Becky Gainey.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
