ANTHONY Frederick W. Anthony
71, of Athens, Pa., was reunited with his wife Patricia Ellen Parks Anthony in heaven on Dec. 29, 2010 at home with his family and special friends by his side. He was born on March 9, 1939 in Waverly, N.Y., eldest son of the late Hayden R. (Dick) Anthony and Mary S. (Sperduti) Anthony.

Fred married the love of his life Patricia (Parks) Anthony on July 29, 1960 and together they spent 45 years together filling their home with love and happiness until Patricia's passing on Sept. 23, 2005.

Fred served in the United States Army from 1956-1959 and then later in the Army National Guard during the 80's. He was a forklift operator (stockroom) for Ingersoll Rand and enjoyed being a vendor at flea markets, traveling and collecting antiques.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Parks) Anthony; parents, Hayden R. (Dick) Anthony and Mary S. (Sperduti) Anthony; sisters, Jeannie Arsenault and Patty Arsenault; father in law, John M. Parks Sr. (the first). Fred is survived by a brother, Joseph (Margot) Anthony of York, Pa.; brother-in-law, John Parks Sr. (Diana) of Pitman, N.J. and Ray Arsenault of Milan; his children, Stephen F. (Tina) Anthony of North Carolina, Christopher J. (Anneliese) Anthony of Waverly, Kathy Jo Anthony of Milan, Aaron J. (Anitra) Anthony of Athens, and Scott R. Anthony of Athens. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie, Brent, Brandon, Sean, Chad, Chelsea, Joshua, Shelby, Sarah, Kyle, Gavin, Landon and Kaitlyn; three great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Tristen and Kaleb; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial next to his wife to take place in the Tioga Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers one may consider a donation to Towanda Memorial Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Towanda, PA 18848 in loving memory of Fred. Caring assistance is being provided by the Cooley-Tioga Point Cremation and Burial Options, Inc., 802 N. Main St., Athens, PA 18810. Star Gazette – January 3, 2011
