Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Langley Patterson; sons, Robert Patterson of Pemberville, Ohio, Ronald Patterson of Charlotte, Ricky Patterson of Myrtle Beach, Randy Patterson of Midland, N.C.; daughters, Mrs. Rhonda Mitchell of Shelby, N.C., Miss Jennie Patterson; mother, Mrs. Ruth Owens Patterson of Charlotte; brothers, Ernest Patterson of Kannapolis, N.C., James Patterson of Charlotte; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
