Williston, Jan 22 [1922] -- Mrs S H Allbrook, formerly Miss Alice Birt, died here Friday after a short illness. The cause of her death was a sudden attack of Bright's disease. She is survived by her husband and one son, Farrell Allbrook. She is also survived by four sisters and five brothers, Mesdames Carrie Creech, Mamie Bolen, Lottie Bolen, Vera Black and W C Birt, John Birt, Callie Birt, D C Birt, and F C Birt, all of Barnwell County.
The funeral services were held from the home in Williston Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, followed immediately by interment in the Hair cemetery near Williston.
Mrs Allbrook was a member of the Baptist church and was a splendid woman in every way. She numbers her friends throughout the county. She was raised in the Long Branch section and is connected with the large and well known Birt family. She will be greatly missed in Williston, where she had resided for several years and has many friends. She was 49 years of age.
