dies at 84
MAYFIELD, Ky. -- Mrs. Lindy Dowdy, 84, 703 Housman St, Mayfield, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday in Mayfield Community Hospital.
She was the widow of Elvis Dowdy and member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Raymond Dowdy of Mayfield; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Carr and Mrs. Brantley Prince, both of Mayfield; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will take place at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roberts Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gary Frizzell will officiate and burial will follow in Dowdy Cemetery.
Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
