He married Sarah Jackson, daughter of Jeremiah Jackson Jr. and Sarah Simpson Lamphere, in 1816.
Obituary: 21 November 1874 at Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY, "Death of Judah Gage - A venerable and much respected citizen, Mr. Judah Gage, departed this life, after a somewhat protracted illness, at his residence in the First Ward this morning. He was in his eighty seventh year. Born in Rensselaer County, Mr. Gage came to Onondaga Hill about fifty eight years ago, and shortly afterwards removed to the then village of Salina, where he has since resided. He was in early life a farmer, and subsequently a manufacturer of salt. He did service in the war of 1812 and was a pensioner therefor. Mr. Gage was one of the early settlers whose numbers are rapidly growing less, and he was throughout his life an active and esteemed citizen. His wife, to whom he was married sixty years ago, survives him. Notice of funeral services elsewhere."3

Established in 1829 as the Salina Cemetery. Last burial about 1909. The last grave stones have been buried, and the entire block is now a park, located between Grant Blvd, 2nd North Street, LeMoyne Avenue and Bear Street in what used to be the town of Salina, now part of Syracuse, NY. Many of the citizens buried in this cemetery are mentioned in the book "Pioneer Irish of Onondaga (about 1776-1847)", author: Theresa Bannan, published: 1911 by G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York - London
