G.S.Calder Funeral In Dorcester Today
Funeral services for George S Calder, 69, of 58 Templeton street, Dorcester, will be held at 1 p.m. today at his home, Rev. Francis McCarthy, minister of First Baptist Church in Dorcester, officiating. Burial will be in Central cemetery, Halifax.
Mr Calder, who died Sunday, was born in Thurso, Scotland, and had been a resident of Boston for 45 years. Prior to retirement in 1936, he conducted a bakery in Roxbury for 12 years. He was previously in business in Lynn. He was a member of Warren lodge, IOOF, of Roxbury, and Red Men of Lynn.
He is survived by five brothers, Donald of Dorcester, Marcus of Greenfield, John of Long Island City, N.Y., Frank of Princeton, N.J., and Kenneth of Scotland, and two sisters Mrs Catherine Herron, Greenfield, and Mrs Sarah Jewell, Braintree.
