Doris Grace Honsaker, 74, of Footedale, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Dubovich.
She was born June 6, 1927, in Footedale, a daughter of the late George and Catherine Conroy Matthews.
Doris was a member of St. Thomas Church of Footedale, formerly employed as a cook for B.P.O. Elks Lodge 370 of Uniontown, and was an avid bowler at the Fairbank Bowling lanes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Honsaker, in 1962; a son, Danny Honsaker, in 1995; sisters, Mary Matthews, Rose Simeone, Elizabeth Moore, and Jacqueline Thomas; and brothers, James, Jack, Joseph, George and William.
Surviving are the following children, Donna McManus and husband, Bart of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Bonnie Dubovich and husband, Nick of Footedale, and Gerald Honsaker and wife, Cheryl of Smithfield, Pennsylvania; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her MUMMO, Carole Lupey and husband, Ted, Bartholomew McManus, Shannon Paul, and husband, Jason, Janet Colebank and husband, Lloyd, Bud Dubovich and wife, Melissa, Shelley Kulenovic and husband, Mike, Fred Dubovich and fiancée, Melissa Cottrell, Laura, Richard, Amber and Stacee, Lena and Jenna Lupey, Quint and Jaylin McManus, Lloyd and Eric Colebank Tyler, Ashley and Sydney Dubovich; sisters, Geraldine Stuck of McClellandtown, and Rita Hravnak of Sommerville, South Carolina; and a brother, Gerald Matthews of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held, with the Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock officiating.
