BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL.
Mr. Otho Adams, formerly of this county, died at the home of his son, Robert J. Adams, at Ashland, Ky., last Friday, August 6, 1909, of general debility. The deceased was 79 years old, had lived a good christian life and was a worthy citizen. He died fortified by the last solemn rites of the Roman Catholic church.
His wife was a Miss Emily C. Montgomery, of Washington county, and a niece of the Rev. J. Memphis, Tennessee, preceded him to the grave a few years.
His remains were brought to this city Saturday evening and taken to the home of his sister. Miss Bettie Abell. Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning, after which his remains were taken to St. Ivo for burial.
He is survived by one son, Robert J. Adams, of Ashland and two brothers Messrs. Lloyd Adams, of Moline, Kansas and James Adams of Louisville, and six sisters, Mrs. A. Brown, Mrs. J. A. Hardesty, Mrs. Bettie Abell, Mrs. Kate Cooper, of this county, Mrs. J. B. Wathen, and Mrs. Amelia McIntire, of Louisville, and one step-sister, Miss Lizzie McElroy, of this city. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends.
