Ruth E. Cooke Bunk of Voorheesville, died on her 91st birthday, August 26, 2005 at Community Hospice of Albany. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Alcove, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lillian Clark Arntzen. Ruth moved to Albany in 1935 and Voorheesville in 1975. She was employed as a computer coder for Farm Family Insurance in Glenmont, retiring in 1979. Ruth was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in Voorheesville. Ruth had a love for life and for her family that was unconditional. She was a great mother, a talented horticulturist and painter, but most of all, she loved making a home and bringing love to her family. Widow of the late James W. Cooke and the late Frank Bunk, she is survived by six children; Andrea J. Dunn of Altamont, Mary E. Lansing (John) of Glenville, Ruth A. Wilson (James) of Altamont, James W. Cooke (Diane) of Berne, Amy V. Hagan (Robert) of Susquehanna, Pa. and Linda B. Warnken (John) of South Berne; also 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
