In 1916, Theola Riley and the late Reverend Irving Dingle was married and their union was blessed with eight children. Theola and the late Reverend Irving Dingle became permanent residents of North Carolina early in their marriage. After a number of years, they built their home and retired in
Wilson, North Carolina.
Theola was a member of St. Jude Holiness Church. And was a committed Christian who was confident of her salvation. She encouraged her children in the Lord always. Her favorite song was God Unchanged Hands. And she would read her Bible every morning.
Theola was a loyal wife, a caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a kind and loving person who was always willing to help other people.
Theola will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Left to cherish her loving memory is two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Ella Dingle-Bunn of Bronx, N.Y. and Ms. Mary Elizabeth Dingle of the home; four sons, Deacon James Albert Dingle of Wilson, Bishop Irving Dingle Jr. and Deacon John Wesley Dingle, both of Miami, Fla., and Charles Otis Dingle Sr. of Baltimore, Md.; 51 grandchildren, including Hattie Lee Dingle of the home; 102 great grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; seven nephews; a host of other relatives and many friends.
