FamilySearch Death Records:
Name: Rupert Rosser
Event Date: 10 Jan 1888
Cause of Death: Acute Meningitis
Event Place: Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Birth Year (Estimated): 1866
Birthplace: Minn.
Marital Status: Single
Occupation: Clerk
Address: 921 Spruce
Residence Place: Philadelphia
Cemetery: Mount Moriah Cemetery
Burial Place: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Burial Date: 20 Jan 1888
MARKER NOTE: The location of his grave is Section 60, lot 14, North 1/2.
Unfortunately, that section, as well as many others near it, are hidden by deep forest, overgrown with invasive plant-life, such as poison sumac, poison ivy, Japanese knot-weed and many other climbing vines.
We are working with a team of dedicated volunteers, but forty to fifty years of neglect is a herculean task and will take a very long time and a great deal of money.
I wish the news could be better, but hold onto this information and one of your descendants may be fortunate to visit a pristine Mount Moriah Cemetery someday.
