Beautiful vintage 1940's suit from Alfred J. Holman of Allentown offered for re-sale in 2013 online.

Alfred's exclusive little shop was at 3115 W. Tilghman Street, next to or very near the former Distelfink gift shop. I believe the section of stores is now called Wallcrest Plaza.

I do not know the years of operation for the shop, but the 1940 census shows Alfred at home with his parents and sister, his occupation listed as working at a retail dress shop. I know his shop continued at least into the 1960's and probably a bit beyond that. It boasted beautiful one of a kind stuff, and had its own milliner (hat maker) on staff for some years.
