Alexander Burd, 57, a farmer, one of Fawn township's best known residents, died suddenly in his home at 4:40 o'clock this morning, of a heart attack.
Mr. Burd had evidently been in good health when he retired last night. He arose during the night for a drink of water, and told members of his family he was feeling ill.
He went back to bed and apparently went to sleep again. Members of his family found him dead in bed this morning.
He was a life-long resident of Natrona until recently when he moved to the farm.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Viola Burd. Five brothers and two sisters also survive. They are: Robert, of Natrona Heights; James of Butler county; William of Cabot; John and Charles of Natrona Heights; Mrs. Anna Miller of Natrona, and Mrs. Charles Kuhn of Fawn township.
Funeral plans have not been made.
