James Franklin "Slick" Morgan, 61, of Waco, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at his residence. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 24, at China Spring Cemetery.

Slick was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Arville Ghueno and Floy Irene (Pate) Morgan. He was an equipment operator for Donaldson Sand until retiring after 20 years of service.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Arville Morgan; and a sister, Betty Irene Atkins.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Morgan, of Waco; daughter, Deborah Ann Johnston and Steve Forsythe, of Gatesville; sons, James Ghueno Morgan and wife, Sheila, of West, and Luther Franklin Morgan and wife, Kelly, of Merritt Island, Florida; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, June Hodde and husband, Doug, of China Spring; sister-in-law, Kay Morgan, of Waco; brother-in-law, David Atkins, of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
