Services: Visitation 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wed. Aug. 21, Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, all at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, IL. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Note: Her obit below reads that she was born in Garland, West Virginia but I have always been told that she was born in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky.

MARY ELIZABETH KETCHERSIDE, 84, of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, born October 12, 1928, in Garland, West Virginia, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Christian Hospital Northeast, St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. Ketcherside was retired from Vitek Solutions, St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles G. and Sarah B., nee Williams, Hamilton, foster parents, Joe and Nettie Stevens, three brothers, Francis "Buddy", John, and James Hamilton; two sisters, Mabel Barnes and Pauline Ziegler; and son-in-laws, Leonard Vandever,Dean Mansfield, and Hugh Deberry.
Surviving are her husband, seven daughters, a step son, two step daughters, 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren. She was a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.
Friends may call from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Her foster parents were Joseph Howell Stevens and Nettie May Curtis Stevens
