In a career spanning nearly fifty years, his many credits include "Under the Lash" (1921), "Billy the Kid" (1930), "Frontier Marshal" (1934), "They Were Expendable" (1945), "My Darling Clementine" (1946), "Wagon Master" (1950), "Last Command" (1955) and "The Horse Soldiers" (1959). He died at age 79 in Woodland Hills, California.
