James Frazier, sixty-nine years of age and a well known citizen of the Maceo neighborhood, died Sunday evening at 7 o'clock following an illness of two weeks. Mr. Frazier is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wade, New Harmony, Ind; Mrs. Jesse Meathers, Chicago; Mrs. Lonnie Knight, Maceo; Mrs. James McCurry, Livermore, and Miss Effie Frazier, Evansville; also Albert of Lewisport, Wallace of Chicago and Sam Frazier of Arkansas. Mr. Frazier is also survived by three brothers, Wes Frazier, Lee Station, KY; Edward Frazier, Livermore and Ben Frazier, of Newport, Tenn.
The funeral was conducted at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon with serves by Rev. Norris Lashbrook. The interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
