Mrs. Alva Winters, nee Irene Lois Rogers, 60, of Plano, died on Wednesday, April 25, 1956 at Copley Hospital in Aurora. She was born in Sandwich on March 29, 1895, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rogers. After married to Alva Winters, the couple made their home in rural Sandwich until moving to Plano. Mrs. Winters had been employed at Lyon Metal Products Co., Aurora. Surviving are her husband, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Cooper Funeral Home, Plano, Reverend R. E. Simms officiating. Internment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
