J. L. McKee, 80, inmate of the Multnomah county farm, was killed yesterday when struck by an automobile driven by C. M. Wilman of Linnton, on Sandy boulevard near the farm. In reporting the accident, Wilman said that he did not see McKee until he stepped into the path of the automobile from the side of the road.
Wilman said he drove off the pavement in an effort to avoid striking the man, who was knocked to the pavement by the car fender. Dr. Hess, assistant county physician, said the man's skull was fractured. An effort is being made to locate relatives.
