It seems that it was given to the wrong couple. André Léon Alphonse Debry and his wife, Marguerite Debry, were married August 12, 1924. This would have them married 81 years in 2005. Mr. and Mrs. Arrowsmith were married 80 years as they were married June 1, 1925, 3 years after they met. Mr. Debry passed away August 31, 2005, age 107. Mrs. Debry passed away four months afterwards, age 102. Both couples deserve considerable recognition for so many years of marriage.
