Known as "Amy" by family and friends, Amelia was the fourth of five children born to Woodrow and Ella Faye NeeSmith Fowler. On July 1, 1960, she married Larry Leonne Adams, son of Carl and Juanita Moseley Adams. She and Larry would have four children. Amy passed on at the young age of 53 due to breast cancer leaving behind her husband, four children, a son-in-law, two daughter-in-laws, and eight grandchildren. Since her death, another grandchild has joined the family as well as two step-grandchildren, a grandson-in-law, and four great-grandchildren.
