KESSELRING, Mary E.
Born 1924, in Louisville, Ky. Passed away March 19, 2010, of complications from pneumonia at the age of 85. A resident of the Antelope Valley since 1956, she was active in the Palmdale Womans Club, P.T.A., helped organize Friends of the Library (Palmdale) and was instrumental in getting the Youth Library opened. She was on the board of American Saddle bred Association and was also active at St. Marys Church and Father Serra Parish. She is survived by four daughters, Susan (Bruce) Cogan, Julie Scrivner, Robin (Bill) Ziegler, Tina (Ed) Noreika, and one son, Joe (Doreen) Kesselring. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her son-in-law Robert B. Scrivner. A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2010, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., both at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary in Palmdale. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lancaster. Donations can be made in memory to Loaves & Fishes, A.V. Region in care of Catholic Charities of L.A. 1531 James M. Wood Blvd. P.O. Box 15095, L.A., CA 90015 or VITAS Hospice Care 44444 16th St. West, Suite 205, Lancaster, CA 93534.
