John H. Feith of Fairbury passed away at his home Thursday, April 28, 1960, at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Born January 22, 1877 at Warrenton, Missouri, he was the second child in a family of four boys and three girls of William and Louise Feith. When he was about 12 years old the family moved to Reynlds, NE where he grew to manhood.

Mr. Feith loved the soil and reluctently left the farm in 1957. He won many prizes at the county fairs and was a regular attendent at the State Fair and Agricultural Meetings. As a youth he played the violin.

He attended Church faithfully until recently because of failing eye sight.

On March 14, 1901, he married Alma Traeger and celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1954.

Survivors are his wife; daughters, Emma, a Child Welfare Worker in Lincoln and Mildred, Mrs. Clarence Black of near Fairbury; three grandchildren and two brothers, Floyd and Wesley Feith of Fairbury.

Funeral serviced were Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church with the pastor Rev. Homer Dickerson, officiating. Pallbearers were Deyo Traeger, Eugene Traeger, Everett Shinn, Emery Shinn, Ed Eilts and Walter Hoeting. Burial in the Fairbury Cemetery.
