Here lies an incomparable man, the brightest start of Scotland, PATRICK FORBES, Bishop of Aberdeen, a most skilled leader, a most faithful pastor, an excellent preacher, a distinguished writer, Counsellor to the King, renewer of the University of Aberdeen and chancellor, and founder of the new chair of Theology in the same; Baron of Oneil, Lord of Corse. who died peacefully and faithfully the day before Easter, 28th March AD 1635, aged 71.
