Charles Ray Gary was one of two sons born to Jodie Ray Gary and Mabel Irene Beaty. He was born in Greenville, Mississippi on Dec 19, 1943.

Charles had one full-blood sibling, Don Eugene Gary, who died shortly after birth.

Charles also had half-siblings from both his mother and father's other marriages. From his father's side, his half-siblings were: Junior Ray Gary, Billy Gene Lott, Jodie Lavelle Gary, Glen Edward Gary, Rebecca Pauline "Becky" Gary, Joyce Darlene Gary (Lee), and Fred Laverne Gary. From his mother's side, his half-siblings were: Bobby Lyonal "Bob" Simon, Gwendolyn Hortense "Gwen" Simon (Eubank), Sidney Harold Simon (who died shortly after birth), and Mary Earlene Simon (Hanna).

In 1962, Charles graduated from high school in Whitney, Texas. He then joined the US Navy at age 19 and served eight years; Charles was a veteran of the Vietnam War. As a civilian, Charles was a truck driver and was a long time employee of John Christner Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and talking on his ham radio (call sign KC5KLN); he was a member of the VFW.

Charles married Sandra Helen Gilbert on May 29, 1968 in Harrison County, Texas. There are no known children born of this union; Sandra passed away in June 1971, just three years after they married.

Charles was also married to Virginia M. Hernandez; the date of their union is unknown to this author. Together, they had one daughter, Gail Ann Gary (Wurdeman). The date of their divorce is unknown at this time.

In 1988, Charles married Bonnie Lue Stephens. They made their home together in Inola, Oklahoma for many years before moving to Big Cabin, where they lived for 14 years until Charles's death on December 15, 2008.

Note: I am unsure if Charles Gary was actually buried at Big Cabin Cemetery. I will leave this information as is for the purpose of a photo request and will update and/or correct as soon as possible. Please send me a message if you have any information regarding his burial place. Thank you!
