Funeral services will be held Tuesday for W. Hamer Mainwaring Jr., 58, of RD 4 Dallas, who died Saturday morning in General Hospital.
Born in Forty-Fort July 7, 1913, he was a graduate of the New Hampton School and Colgate University, class of 1937.
Mr. Mainwaring was employed as a merchandiser for the Isaac Long Store for many years and, in recent years, by Bergman's Department Store, Edwardsville.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, was a Mason and Shriner and was active in the Boy Scouts of America.
Surviving are his widow, the former Elizabeth Wharen; daughter , Mrs. Thomas Brashares, at home; son, W. Hamer 3rd, Wilks-Barre; brother Donald Mainwaring, Elmont, Long Island New York; sisters Mrs. J. Bowden Northrup, Dallas and Mrs. Russell Uhi, Palm Desert California.
