Evan Fisher served the Union as a Private in company D of the 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery. His wife was the sister of 1st Lieut. Alfred B. Patton, 172nd PA infantry, whose gravesite picture is believed to be him (although identified, wrongly I suspect, as Evan, by someone long ago). Evan never ranked above private while his brother-in-law was indeed a 1st Lieutenant. The image pictures him later in life, in his old uniform, and probably not long before his demise. It likely came from her estate with other things pertaining to her husband (and got misidentified, I theorize, by a relative or collector).
