Mr. Kizer was born in St. George, December 24, 1924, the son of the late Wright Kizer and Augusta Louise Smith Kizer.
He served during WWII with the Merchant Marines, and was a retired employee of the Old Fort Packing Company.
Mr. Kizer was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro, and was an avid golfer, gardener and baker. His blueberry plants and day lilies were his passion, and he delighted many people with his carrot and chocolate cakes, and his garden produce.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held July 31, 2013, at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with entombment following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held the 30th from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
