He is survived by his wife and nine children as follows: Mrs. Joseph Becker and Mrs. George Dederick of Cass Lake; Joe Balder of Cambridge, Nebraska; Robert of Clear Lake; Felix of Palmer; Mrs. John Kampa of Glendorado; Frank and Anton at home; George with A.E.F. [American Expeditionary Forces] in France, all being at his bedside with the exception of George.
The funeral was held from the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Saturday and internment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Pallbearers were Matt Voerding, Henry Ruhoff, Alex Kroska, Joseph Henry, John Winkelman, and Charles Cryson, neighbors and friends of the deceased.
