Mrs. Amanda O'Conner, widow of the former well known river pilot, Larkin O'Conner, died at 4:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence, 58 Smith Street, of a complication of diseases. She had been in a feeble condition for some time, and her condition was serious for several days. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, September 12, 1841, and had been a resident of Lafayette for 52 years. Mrs. O'Conner was a member of St. Ann's church and was one of the best known and most highly esteemed women in the First Ward. She was a devoted mother, a kind neighbor and a true friend. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Mackey, of this city, and Mrs. Lida Girard, of Indianapolis, and one son, Larkin O'Conner, of Covington, Kentucky. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Harrington. The funeral will be held from St. Ann's church at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning with interment in Springvale Cemetery.
