Ruth Ford DENVER CITY- Memorial services for Ruth Ford, 75, of Denver City will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Fred officiating. Services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Mrs. Ford passed away on Feb. 21, 2013 in Lubbock. Mrs. Ford was born on Oct. 4, 1937 in Sonora, Texas to Jack and Cordelia Drennan. She married John Ford on Sept. 3, 1967 in Lovington, N.M. Ruth and her husband, John, moved to Denver City in 1981. Prior to moving to Denver City she was office manager for Drs. English and Hunt. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for 22 years. Ruth delivered Meals on Wheels in Denver City for 30 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Johnson. Survivors include her husband, John Ford of Denver City; children, Theresa Hickman of Kerrville, Chris Ford and wife Misty of Ropesville, Keith Mittel of San Antonio, Linda Hodel of Frisco, Ben Mittel of Eldorado, Russell Ford of Houston, and Gayla Mittel of Houston; two brothers, Rusty Drennan of Odessa and Roland Drennan of McKinney; one sister, Bobbie Smith of Sonora; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
