Lula E. Utter - Following Long Illness - Services were held Saturday at McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton for Mrs. Lula Emaline Utter, 86, Rt. 1, Purdy, who died Wednesday at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, following a long illness. Bruce McGee, minister, officiated. Burial was in Rocky Comfort Cemetery. Mrs. Utter was born September 20, 1897 in the state of Arkansas, and had lived in the Purdy area most of her life. She was a member of the Wheaton Church of Christ. She married Henry Irvin Utter on March 31, 1918 in Barry County. He preceded her in death November 26, 1983. Survivors include a son, George C. Utter of Purdy, four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Burdett of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Nora Levitch of Kansas City, Mrs. Dorothy Snider of Jenkins, and Mrs. James Jones of Exeter, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
