Virginia Ruth Trent Givans, 88 years old, Brandenburg, died July 12, 2013, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daymon Givans; a daughter, Shirley Ann Arocho; her parents, John William Trent Sr. and Vera Ann Roberts Trent; a sister, Alma "Dee" Worley; and a brother, John William Trent Jr.
Mrs. Givans is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Jerry) Berry, Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Dana Berry, Glendale; Marlena (Johnathan) Crawford, Cecelia; and Edmund Christopher Wiseman, Corydon, Indiana; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held July 16, from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home, with Brother Henry Penn officiating. Burial was in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
