Shane Vinson Jackson, 12, of Palmdale, Calif., died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, in an accident on the freeway near Palmdale.
The son of David Jackson and Susan Jackson, Shane was a student at the Lake Los Angeles Middle School.
He leaves his parents, David Jackson and Susan Jackson; Two brothers: Jaycee Jackson and Travis Pierce: One sister: Kelly Caballero; Grandparents: Robert and Shirley Jackson of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Steele; and Dave and Cathy Peterson; and Great-grandparents: R.E. and Ruby Hewlett of Steele and Bertha Jackson of the Number 8 Community and the late Robert Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m.. Thursday, July 15, 1999 at the Hally-Olsen Funeral Chapel Palmdale, with burial at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Bertha Jackson stated that due to ill-health, she was unable to attend the service. However, local area relatives met at the home of R.E. and Ruby Hewlett for a memorial service.
