Died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1987, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 73, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Ethyl Corp. train engineer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Hollabaugh-Spindle Wooddale Memorial Chapel 8 a.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Drury, of Brownsfield Baptist Church. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Barnes; a sister, Janice Boyer, Philadelphia; and a brother, Harry Barnes, Philadelphia.
