It has been stated that this is Rebecca Long Harris, the 1st wife of John Smith Harris of Lincoln County, KY. However, there is some confusion involved. The birth record of Rebecca Long (1st wife of John Smith Harris) states that she was born 02 Jul 1854 whereas this Rebecca's headstone lists her birth as 09 Dec 1850.
However, the obituary shown at left seems to match up as far as representing the correct week in April for her death, along with the name of her husband. Also, John Smith Harris did indeed live near Waynesburg, and the obit mentions her burial being in Eubank. But...this obituary was published on 19 Apr 1895, not 1894 as shown on the headstone, and it gives her age as 62--a far cry from the 43 as evidenced by her age on the headstone.
