MRS. BURTON
CAMP HILL, AL - Mrs. Myrtis Sanders Burton, 101, of Camp Hill died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Bethany House in Auburn, AL.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. CDT Friday, June 13, 2008 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Tiller Crossroads in Chambers County, AL with Revs. Steve Powell and Yancey Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Burton is survived by five children, Nell Patterson of Alexander City, AL, Ned Burton of Dadeville, AL, Durward Burton of Tallapoosa County, AL, Frank Burton of Dadeville and Jack Burton of Camp Hill; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Burton was born April 22, 1907 in Tallapoosa County. She was retired from the Union Hill School Lunchroom and later from the Chambers County High School Lunchroom with a total of 20 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Burton, and a great-grandchild, Rex Moncus. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. CDT at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in Lafayette.
