Isaac Paden was born to Obediah Paden and Esther Dunne in 1780 in York Co. PA. He grew up with his siblings, Samuel, William, Rebecca. Lydia, Obediah H., James, Esther, Jesse "Iepe" and Joseph Paden.
In his father, Obediah Peden's will dated Oct. 16, 1822 it stated this. "I give and bequeth to my son Isaac Peden Fifty Dollars to be paid by my executors at the expiration of two years from my decease." Note: this is far less than he left his other children, perhaps he had already helped set Isaac up prior to 1822. After the time of this will the spelling of Peden was changed to Paden.
