Douglas William (Doug) McLennan, 40, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at his residence in Hawley, Texas.

Born in Denton, Texas on July 26, 1972, Doug was the son of Carolyn Elizabeth (Petty) and William Henry McLennan. He was preceded in death by his father.

In 1995, he moved from San Saba, Texas to Abilene where he was a mechanic for Eagle Aviation. Doug was a member of the Church of Christ.

Doug is survived by his mother, Carolyn Poer and husband Arlan, and a sister, Sharon McLennan, all of Sanger, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, in China Spring Cemetery near Waco, Texas.
