LAWNDALE - Mr. Billy Junior Parker, 66, of 4434 Shuford Lane, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 13, 1935, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Leo Worth and Bessie Hamrick Parker. He was a retired auto mechanic and was a member of Community Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Buddy Parker and Alfred Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ella Mae Head Parker of the home; a brother, Clyde Parker of Shelby; and five sisters, Beatrice Greene, Mary Rogers, Shirley Edwards and Barbara Black, all of Shelby, and Jane Sipes of Fallston.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stamey Funeral Home with the Revs. John Bridges and Cecil Buff officiating. Burial will be at Community Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home in Fallston."
