Playwright. He was born Christopher Harris in Bristol and died in Chichester (West Sussex). For nearly a decade, he was one of Britain's leading playwrights. His plays were staged on both sides of the Atlantic, attracting leading actors including Laurence Olivier, John Gielgud, Richard Burton and Edith Evans.
