Rev. J. J. Claypool, of Stockwell, died Saturday morning at his home, after a lingering illness, covering a period of over four years. A stroke of paralysis served to hasten his end. Inf. He married Alice Cooley, Apr 1, 1866, and is survived by a widow and three children. Mrs. F. M. Bartholomew of Stockwell; Mrs. W. P. Robins, of Kansas City, Mo., and John H. Wood, and will take place at the Methodist church at Stockwell tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. Rev. Claypool was an upright, Christian man who has devoted his life in his religious ministry, during which he has made innumerable friends. His long siege of ill health did not break down his spirit and he died beloved to all his acquaintances.
