Ronald E. Gentry Carter was born June 30, 1949, in Topeka, Kan., to Doris A. Carter Gentry. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Kevin Gentry.
Ronald is survived by a son, Tyrone Carter; step-daughter, Denise Carter; brothers, Lytell, Steven and Shawn; an uncle, Ted Carter; a nephew, Kevin Gentry; cousins, Wrick Carter, Janet Carter Moye, Jondra Carter and Sheila Taliferro; and a host of other cousins; a companion, Sandy Maple; children, Yalonda Battle and Damien Maple; and eight grandchildren who called him "Grandpa."
