Here Lie Inter'd the remains of Eli Brooks Son of John Brooks Esq. & Anna His Wife Who Departed this Life Oct'r 25th 1775 AEtat 19: a Youth of a promising genius & an obliging disposition desirous of making all around him happy. Just as he had entered upon his collegiate studies & given his Friends & Aquaintences raised expectations of his future usefulness Death marked him for his prey & in the morning of Life called him to the Grave.
