Abe E. Abraham died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He was 82. A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Abraham was the son of the late Elias and Helen Abraham. He had been employed with Atwood Chevy Olds and the Car Store for many years. He was a member of the Army-Navy Club, the Order of St. Ignatiu.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Farris Abraham; two sisters, Mary Mack and Minnie Nader; and two brothers, Waddy Abraham and Spero Abraham. He is survived by five daughters, Joylene Carlson, Mary Jo Wright, Gloria Dornbusch and Helen Abraham, all of Vicksburg, and Lillian Mackay of Lexington, S.C.; his sister, Lillie Abraham of Vicksburg; his brother, George E. Abraham of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren, Angela Wright, Claire Dornbusch, Jake Dornbusch, Matt Carlson and Beth Carlson, all of Vicksburg, and Don Mackay and Will Mackay, both of Lexington, S.C.; and other relatives. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church with the Rev. Peter Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home. Trisagion Prayers will be at 4:30. Pallbearers will be Dr. George E. Abraham II, Trey Abraham, James Hughes, Dr. Thomas Strain, Robert Nader, Abe Lee Nader, Dr. Bobby M. Abraham, Jea Abraham, Dr. Donald Mack, Dr. Billy Gilley, Keith Collins, Michael Nader, Dr. Michael Abraham, David Hughes, Dr. Thomas Huff, Dr. John Attrep and William Abraham. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dawsey, Craig Gibson, Oscar LaBarre, Emmett Atwood, Ralph Morgan, employees of Atwood Chevy Olds and the Car Store, the men of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church choir and the Army Navy club.
